Here's to the builders.
The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They are driven by "why" and not afraid to question everything.
They strive to see the beauty in math and physics.
They know that the only laws of this universe are the laws of physics.
They're not fond of rules or bureaucracy.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
They reason from first principles and are non-mimetic in their wants.
The fact that something hasn't been done before bears no reason to them for why it can't be done.
They are daring enough to think they can change the world and don't need time, money or resources to do so.
They operate purely on their will power.
If they want to do something they will find a way to get it done.
They push themselves to their limits to discover that they have no limits.
They often move in silence and don't care to see their names in the press.
Sometimes they are misunderstood, but that doesn't bother them as long as humanity would be grateful for what they build.
They build for the sake of building; they often differentiate for the sake of it.
They have a high bar for quality; and don't really care for external validation.
They are skittish about mediocrity and pine for excellence.
They have strong loosely held beliefs and change their minds swiftly in light of evidence.
They don't trust things easily, and they build before they search.
They take things in their own hands and are curious about everything.
And they yearn to build.
They are known by many names in their communities: The creative spirits. The underdogs. The resolute. The determined. The indefatigable. The outsiders. The defiant. The independent thinkers. The fighters and the true believers.
And they come from many different generations, places, religions, cultures and ages.
But intrinsically they all are living the same life.
Whilst the rest of humanity may be rationalizing everything happening around them, they have a rational for everything they do.
Whilst the rest of humanity works on capturing the most value;
they race unrelentingly toward creating it.
You can quote them, disagree with them,
glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
While some may call them the crazy ones
we know that the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world,
are the ones who do!
If you think you are one of these people; consider reaching out :)
